mberleaf Home is thrilled to share that Lawson House has received the Polk Bros. Foundation Affordable Rental Housing Preservation Award at the Chicago Neighborhood Development Awards (CNDA) in June 2024. This award honors projects that preserve affordable housing in communities vulnerable to gentrification, ensuring that residents of all income levels have access to quality housing.
Lawson House was rehabilitated to provide 409 affordable residential units while preserving the building’s historical integrity. Amberleaf Home played an integral role by supplying high-quality kitchen and bath cabinetry, designed to enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of each unit. Our made in Chicago cabinetry ensures that the interiors are both durable and attractive, meeting the needs of today’s residents while honoring the building’s historical significance.
This award reflects the social and community impact of the Lawson House project, and Amberleaf Home is proud to have contributed to its success. For more information, visit the official announcement on the CNDA website.
